How we grade trade-ins
Trade-ins are assessed against the same Refurbished standard.
Accepted at the quoted value
Your trade-in meets our refurbished retail criteria:
- No cracks
- No deep scratches
- Fully functional
- No liquid damage
- Not bent or warped
- Battery functional
This typically qualifies for the full quoted value.
Lower value, or not accepted
If your device has any of these:
- Cracks in screen or back glass
- Heavy dents, bent frame
- Non-working components
- Battery failure
- Liquid damage
- Disabled biometrics
- Tampering or non-standard parts
You may be offered a revised lower value, or have your device returned at no cost.
Stolen, blacklisted or counterfeit devices cannot be accepted and may need to be reported following legal processes.
Compliance with consumer law
This simplified grading system complies with UK/Northern Ireland consumer law. "Refurbished" is a legally recognised term when clearly defined. All devices are accurately described with objective cosmetic and functional standards, protecting both you and the customer.
